The consortium is a group made up of four partners working together towards achieving the objectives of the project YAPS:
- the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) as leader of the consortium and main contractor to the European Commission,
- the Austrian Red Cross (ARC),
- the Romanian General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU)
- the Romanian Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj (BBU)
All partners can look back on successful and extensive activities – national and international activities – in the field of civil protection and have a long tradition and experience in the area of civil protection training.
The consortium aims at ensuring diversity among the different organisations and mutual international cooperation.
All partners have excellent connections to national and international civil protection structures as well as to European networks regarding prevention and preparedness.
They have pedagogical knowledge and experience in conducting trainings and seminars.
A project management team has been built with representatives from all four partners.
Therefore, the partners are in close cooperation through phone, internet, video conferences, and meetings.
For the implementation of YAPS, the involvement of further governmental and non-governmental organisations – being active in the field of self-protection and preparedness from other member states – is planned.
